I am a consignment shop nut! I love to go in and find clothes, shoes and toys for Abby. I think it is the thrill of the hunt. I only buy things that look brand new. Sometimes you can even find things that are brand new. I think Daniel is getting used to it. At first he did not like the whole used thing, but it saves a lot of money when kids grow out of things so fast. Here is a stroller I bought Abby. She loves to push it around the house.Monday, March 30, 2009

The Cutest Thing
Every night Abby and I read books in my bed (I can't fit in the crib). So the other night we went in and started to snuggle. I started to read the book, and Abby got off the bed and toddled to her room. I sat there wondering what in the world she was doing. I called her name and she came back out with her lovey. She was then ready to climb back on the bed and finish the story. I thought it was too cute of her to go get her lovey and snuggle with it while we read. She carries it with her every where. Its one of those blankets with the animal head on it. I am hoping the Easter Bunny can find a similar one so she has two. Because when its time to wash this one she is a little lost without it.
I hope you have had a great weekend!

Spring Break Kick Off
Well, I had every intention of updating my blog daily this week since it is my spring break. However, Monday a little cold decided to build a home inside of me! Today is the first day I have felt like getting on the computer. I checked my email, and there were 59 messages! Most of which were junk. Where does the junk come from and why do they feel the need to send it to me?! Sorry, its the cold medicine talking.
I am suffering from a little issue. I would love for you girls to help me out. Or straighten me out! There is a little boy in my church who is 6 years old and has only 1-3 months to live. The very thought of this makes my stomach hurt and feel sick. My heart hurts as well. It hurts for him, his brother and his parents. I can not image being in that situation. And being the selfish person I am I pray every night that I will never have to be in that situation. Here is my problem. The other night Daniel went on a call (he's an EMT). There was a 9 month old baby who had drowned. His mom thought it would be a great idea for him to play in the tub while she went and had sex with her boyfriend!!!!!! Who does that!!!!??? Now I ask you this: Why is a precious baby given to a mother who is so brainless that she would put her child into danger, while there is a mother who so desperately loves her child, and will loose him soon? That has been clouding my thoughts. I know God is bigger than we are, but sometimes I just struggle with situations like this. My husband said that he does not give us things bigger than we can handle. He is so right. From what I have heard about this mother at my church, she is strong and trusts the Lord fully. Honestly, I don't know if I could be that strong. Is that wrong?

Can you relate?
The other night as I am sitting on the couch watching Blues Clues....by myself. I realized there are many things I do now as a mom, that I did not do before.
1. eat fish shaped crackers for snacks
2. know all of the songs sung on Blues Clues (the only show Abby sits and watches)
3. stock up on gallons of whole milk
4. wash my hands multiple times a day---there goes any hope for nail polish
5. pack a huge backpack before leaving the house
6. Discover toys, socks, bibs etc.....in my purse
7. have baby wipes everywhere...including my car
8. hunt down "Binky's"
9. wake up at every little sound
10. feel the need to kick my husband when he "doesn't hear her."

A New Post Finally
I really need to get back into the swing of things. Posting everyday is hard. But going weeks on end is pathetic! I am also horrible about updating the baby book. Sorry Abby! Anyway...I am not sure if you can tell but Abby has graduated to two ponies in her hair. Its too cute for words. I will have to get a better picture of it soon!
