Bandon Camping Trip

August 18th marked our annual summer camping trip!  We really want to start camping more, but life sure does get busy!  We camped at Bullards Beach State Park just outside of Bandon, Oregon.  Our wonderful friends the Lamoreaux's were with us!
Bandon is about 5 hours away.  We started out at 7AM, hit Denny's for breakfast, then headed for our destination.  We arrived in great time so hit the beach before we headed to our campsite.  Check in wasn't until 4PM, but we eventually got in at 230PM!
Ready to go play!!!  Let the dirty begin!!
These guys have been friends since elementary school.  Such a special friendship.
Our lovely campsite.  Bullards beach was a really nice place to camp.  The sites were pretty small, but they had a clean bathroom and even.....SHOWERS!!  Which you will see the girls desperately needed each day and night!  My friend Jamie is the Martha Stewart of camping!  She has everything you could possibly need or want while camping.  I need to have her make me a list of things I need to include in our camping gear.  We appreciated all her help with the things we forgot.  I think that has happened the last couple times we have camped with them.  We really can't ever go camping without Jamie!  :)

We are in the process of potty training Ruby Mae.  She did pretty good.  Every time I put her on the toilet she goes.  We just need to get her to tell us when she has to go.  I have been trying to put her on every hour....I need to set a timer to help me remember!
Each girl had dirt from head to toe, and they loved every minute of it!
YUMMY!  Smores...however these two ate more marshmallow's than smores!

Me loving the two crazy two year olds.  They did so good together!
Bandon has a great wild life park, where you can walk among the animals.  We bought little cones of food to feed the animals and they know when you have them.  If you don't have them in your hand, some of the animals would just stick their noses in the air and find someone how does have food.....LOL!

Daniel was a very popular guy!

This baby goat wanted to fight!  There were 2 or 3 babies....they were so cute and feisty!  They wanted to fight like the big ones were doing.
Petting Zoe,  the baby opossum.
Abby holding a ferret and petting Todd the baby fox!  He was precious!

Yes, that's right I am holding a opossum....I have to say it was pretty weird to hold one when I usually see them on the road dead!

Petting a baby bear!
Ruby Mae loved the baby goats.
This is a baby tiger.  The girls loved petting and interacting with animals we don't usually get to experience!

Again, what a great looking couple!
After the wildlife park we had lunch and tried to have a "rest time"  however my girls were not having it.  We head back to the beach and Ruby Mae was OUT!  We went to a light house on the beach and Abigail and Daniel were able to go up and learn some history.

Ruby woke up just in time to play on the beach.  It was beautiful, but really windy.

These two found water and had a BLAST running through it and getting as much sand as possible on them.  Eventually Cora's pants fell down from all the running.  It was pretty funny!  Again the showers were such a nice touch.  The two babies were caked with sand and need a rinse off!

Our last day there we headed to the Old Town of Bandon.  It was a a cute little place with little shops and a wonderful board walk.
We had a great time and can't wait to go camping with the Lamoreaux's again!
