Christmas Day 2012

Twas the night before Christmas and all through the house.....a mom and dad went scurrying as the kids were snug in their beds.
Daniel and I always have so much fun getting ready for Santa!  Abby got an American Girl doll and a red wagon.
Ruby got a cool little baby station and a bike.

Santa letters.  Daniel is the best Santa ever!

 He came!  He came!
It was so much fun watching the girls see their presents, and play with them.  Ruby loved opening gifts.

The camera Abby got was a huge success!  She takes pictures of everything.

Fire fighter boots just like daddy
Ruby holding her baby.  I hope that changes when she has kids of her own.
Daddy got Abby a special present.  Binoculars for their  bird watching time!  Daddy also bought her an easy bake oven.  I am so excited to try it out!
 The after math!
 Christmas with the Brown Family
Little Chloe heading to the tree to open presents.  She is now 12 weeks old!
Grandma showing Ruby her pink pony!
 Opening her Little People castle

Abby played with this for a long time before she wanted to open another!  I always wanted one of these, but never got one.  Now I can play with Abby's.  She also got a light brite!  This was the best Christmas ever!
Colin opening our present to him.

My poor mom got the flu the day before Christmas.  We had to cancel the Hughes Family Christmas.  But we are getting together Sunday to open presents and have dinner.  It's so exciting to be able to open more presents a few days after Christmas!

Spreading Christmas Joy 2012

December 7th marked a big day for the Brown Family!  We got to drive Santa to the tree lighting, in the fire truck!  It was so cool to be able to ride in a fire truck while my handsome husband drove it.
In the Fire Engine.  The girls loved it!
Watching Santa light up the tree!

We were able to tell Santa what we wanted and enjoyed talking with him.
I love a man in uniform!

Our tree!  Abby was so excited to get the tree up.  We had to wait for it to dry do to the rain, and it was driving her crazy!  I was the same way when I was little.
This year has been weird for me.  It's been hard to get into the Christmas spirit, but the girls have really helped.  They are so excited about everything, love the lights and magic of Santa.  I am so thankful for them.
Yea!  Ornaments!  Do I eat them, or hang them?  Ruby actually did hang a few.  She mostly ooohed and ahhhhed.

 The placing of the star!

Daniel bought a gingerbread house kit!  This is my kind of house.  I didn't have to do a thing.  Both girls loved it.

At first Ruby wasn't really sure these two crazy people knew what they were doing.  Why would you put candy on a house, if you could eat it?  But she started helping too!

After the hard work Ruby enjoyed the fruits of her labor.  Both girls sat up there and ate for a while.  I was shocked they weren't sick.

The finished product, before the feast!

Abby's 5th Birthday!

For her 5th birthday, Abby wanted a "Horse Party".  We had the party at Daniel's fire station.  It was so nice to be able to move, and the kids ran all over.  Our house is just too small for all this FUN!
 Abby, Ashlynn, Ruby, and Riley

 Gabby and Abby
 Blowing out the candles.
Everyone was so excited when presents started being opened.  Abby was pretty funny when she opened them.  She would squeal then drop it on the floor, move on to the next.
Pogo stick from Grandpa Brown
Ashlynn is so smart.  She is in first grade and reading like a champ.  She read Abby all the cards.
"That there, is an RV" a Barbie RV to be exact.  This chick knows how to camp.
Ruby thought the RV was a good stool so she could get some more cake....little turd!

"Ta-Da!" all done.  This was such a fun and energy filled party!
Abby woke up and yelled, "I'm five!" The morning of her Birthday I had to work, so I was  hoping she would wake up before I left to open what we got her.  She did!  I was so excited to watch her open the horses and barn we got her.
Gotta love those 5 year old feet!

For dinner,  we all went to "Red Bird" AKA Red Robin.
Milkshakes all round!
MEAT GOOD!
We all enjoyed the sundaes at the end.

Abby had a great fifth birthday thanks to our wonderful friends and family!  I 'm still in shock she is 5!
