Two books--- one week

In the last week I have read 2 books that are usually not in my genre choice. The Lovely Bones by Alice Sebold and Push by Sapphire (the movie Precious is based on this book). Both books were difficult to read in their own way. However, I was addicted to both. Push is a very hard book to read. The sentence structure is difficult, and the content is disturbing and graphic. But, it tells a story that needed to be told. Read The Lovely Bones though. I loved how I was able to feel like I was part of this family and with the main character as she watched the world unfold under her.
