Abigail's 6th Birthday!

It's December 26th, I just finished cleaning the house after the big Christmas craziness.  Now I can relax a bit and share about Abigail's 6th birthday.  I feel like it wasn't long ago when I was posting about her 1st birthday!
It was a tough choice but Abby decided to have a Princess party!  On her actual birthday, the 18th we had our family party.

She woke up bright and early ready to open presents!  She was able to open this dress from us, a Rapunzel barbie from Ruby and she was surprised by this Princess Castle that Grandma, Papa Brown and Daniel and I got her.  Daniel spent the night before putting it together.  There was no where to hide it so, she got it early.  I think we underestimated the size of the castle....and our house!!

Every 6 months Daniel measures the girls.  She was in shoes, so we need to readjust, but she has grown a lot!
Opening presents was her favorite part of course!  Ruby had a hard time at first because she wanted to open too!  She even went and grabbed a gift under the tree!

Ashlynn read her all of the cards!
Time to blow out the candles!!
She even lost her second tooth that same night!  Growing up way too fast!!

The following Saturday, December 21st we had her friend birthday party.  Since Abby's bday is in December I really wanted it to be special for her because it's in December and the weather is not good enough to have it outside.  It was fun, but I am definitely not doing it at our house again, too much work and stress!  LOL!
When kids arrived they were dressed in their prettiest dress or in a Princess dress.  They were all so adorable!  They decorated crowns, donated by Burger King!
Izzy and Kylee
Kylee, Jocelyn, and Izzy.  These cuties are in her Kinder class!
This is Grace.  I had Graces big sister in my 5 th grade class.  That was the year I had Abby and her mom had Grace.  These girls had a few play dates together when they were babies.

After decorating crowns we did presents.

Then we decorated cupcakes....lots of decorating at this party!  :)

I had allotted 2 hours for the party but they kids flew through it all!  So I had an hour of panic time.  But they all played and had fun.

Christmas Tree Lighting

Silverton has a wonderful tradition of Santa lighting the town Christmas tree.  The last couple of years the girls and I have been able to ride with Santa as my handsome husband drove.
The minute we walked in to the station Ruby said in her own little Ruby way.." I want bebe (baby)."  She wasn't scared of Santa at all! Abigail got a little shy though.
Daniel in the drivers seat, and the girls in the back ready to go!
 Santa loading up!

The ladder truck takes Santa up!
 Ruby saying "ho, ho, ho!"

The girls huddled together...its cold!  It was around 30 degrees out.
 My favorite firefighter!
 The Christmas magic has begun!

A Few Firsts!

Abigail has been wanting a bird for awhile now.  Her dad told her that if she kept her room clean, fed the dog and fish every day then we would start looking into it.  Well, I left them alone and this is what I came home to!  Both girls are in love.  Ruby has a green one named Scully (from Jake and the Neverland Pirates) and Abby named hers Jewel.  We are still working with them to get used to us.  The girls really want to hold them!
Today was also the very first movie Abigail and Ruby went to.  Abby was way over due to experience a movie.  I feel terrible because Daniel was working.  I honestly felt guilty the whole time.  But we all had a great time.  Abby's friend Addison and her mom (my friend) Andrea went with us.  We all LOVED the movie Frozen.

Abby

I am so grateful to have Abby at Forest Ridge with me for Kindergarten.  One of her teachers always keeps me posted on all the funny and cute things she does.  Today at recess her and a bunch of kids we huddled together by a drain.  Her teacher, Mrs. Slay saw her carrying something towards the grass, so she started to investigate.  Abby was carrying WORMS to the grass to save their lives!!!  Last night it rained so the worms and slugs were out....thank goodness she wasn't carrying slugs!  No wonder she said worms were taking over the school.  I was a little confused by that one!  :)

October 2013

This year instead of going to the typical pumpkin patch, we went to an ACTUAL pumpkin patch.  Uncle Kyle let us tromp through his pumpkin patch and choose our pumpkins.  Abby's class went to EZ orchards already so we figured we would stick to "old school" this year.  Riding on the 4 wheeler with daddy was the highlight!

Kyle sells yummy corn at his stand.  To get to the pumpkins we went through the corn and over some squash.  Ruby Mae has some trouble.  We ended up carrying her most of the way.

Gotta have our rubber boots!  My girls love these boots.  Ruby Mae is wearing the flower pair Abby used to live in (literally).  I will never part with those boots!

Finally the big decision was made!  Each girl found their perfect pumpkin!

Let the carving begin.  Each year Daniel's side of the family comes over for dinner and carving.
Chloe and Ruby Mae had better things to do.  They love each other so much!

Halloween was a blast!  Here are the girls with Emma (in the purple) and Ashlynn!
Ruby Mae and Addison were both Cinderella!  The two cutest I have ever seen!
My two princesses!  When I asked Abby why she like Merida (from Brave) so much.  She said, "because she is cool!"  I asked why she was so cool.  "Because she has a bow and arrow!"  Only my princess would need a weapon of some kind!
 Colin was Peter Pan.

During trick or treating we had to tuck in Ruby's dress.  She kept tripping over it.  She loved trick or treating.  Every time she got candy she would come back to us and say BOUY!  which in Ruby Mae language means MORE!  She was a trooper!  towards the end she joined Chloe in the wagon.

We had another great Halloween and a wonderful October!
