Out of the mouths of babes
So tonight as we are driving home, Abby is asking Daniel and I about how we knew they were girls before they were born. We said that we just knew in our hearts they were girls. A few minutes later Abby said, mom do you know who I have in my heart? I said who? She said God! I have a bunch of little spots with God in them. Daniel and I were so proud! Then Ruby Mae chimes in, because she copies everything we say. Mom do you know who I have in my heart? I said who? She says, horses! I have horses in my heart! Daniel and I couldn't help but bust up laughing! Love my girls!!

Spring Break Disneyland Trip 2014
Our long awaited Disneyland Trip came on Spring break 2014! This was our FIRST family of four vacation. Each girl saved money in their piggies for many years. This was the grand total for each girl. Abigail: $219.00 and Ruby had $128.50! They were able to spend their money on ANYTHING they wanted. After counting for a couple hours we told the girls where they were going! Abby was in shock! Ruby didn't really know what were were talking about, but she soon figured it out!
The airport was a blast! I love going to the airport when I get to go some where. The girls were in awe of the huge planes and were entertained until we boarded.
Surprisingly, they did great on the plane. Daniel and I were just waiting for a melt down. but they did great. Loved getting a snack and picking their own beverage!
Of course we had to land at the John Wayne Air port. Abby is a HUGE fan of the Duke! She acted so shy when she saw the statue of him. It was so funny. We don't love Justin Beiber, we love John Wayne!
The first thing we did once we actually got to the happiest place on Earth was eat lunch! Then our fun began. We bought each girl a pair of ears and started towards Fantasy Land! Which is where we spent most of our time!
The teacups was our first ride! Ruby threw a huge fit when it was time to get off. We had to pry her hands off the ride. She didn't understand other people needed a turn.
The was the girls next favorite ride. Of all rides.....and we are at Disneyland and they like the !
I think Daniel ate 10 of these frozen bananas! They were REALLY good! There were only a few rides Ruby wasn't able to go on. She was a trooper about and we found alternative rides for her.
One ride we ALL loved was the Pirates of the Caribbean. The first time we went on the line was pretty long, and it was late. While the line went fast Ruby fell asleep. She ended up waking up as we were going down the first hump and water splashed on us. Poor kid woke up, and enjoyed the ride. She did have to be reassured that daddy would shoot the bad guys.
Of course in true Disney form the girls dressed up like princesses! They are the cutest Anna and Elsa ever!
They each got their face painted ( one of Abbys fav things to do) and the guy made sure the paint matched their dresses! I was really impressed!
Buzz Light Year is one of my favorites! I even got a kiss.....there was an attraction there! LOL!
Two of our favorite characters! Jake and Sophia. Poor Ruby was asleep when Sophia finally came out. She is one of her favs! I tried waking her up, but she was zonked!
However, getting a Micky and Minnie was worth not seeing Sophia. I have never seen her so excited, as when she got BOTH of these!
The Dumbo ride was another favorite! I don't think I have ever been on this ride so it was a blast to experience it with my girls. The line was always long, but we hoped in when it was only 30 minutes to get to the ride. Crazy!!
We stayed at a hotel called the Annabella. It was a great hotel, just a bit of a walk to Disneyland. It felt like miles and miles at the end of the day!
Our favorite breakfast was at the Carnation Cafe. The food was SO good!
RubyMae loved it! LOL!
Can you believe we got a picture with NO ONE behind us!
Fawna and Tinkerbell were the first major characters we saw. RubyMae was in awe! Both were fabulous with the girls. We only had to wipe the drool off of Daniel's mouth a few times.
Sometimes you can see characters walking around Disneyland....but every time we tried to get in line to see them the "body guard" would tell us the line was closed. Then one wonderful lady said we could see all of them in Toon Town! DUH! We spend a good 3 hours or more there visiting our friends.
We even got to see Abigail teacher Mrs. Slay! We were chasing each other around the park trying to connect and finally we did! Abby was in a bit of shock when she saw Mrs. Slay.
Then we went to the Bibbity Boppity Boutique. The girls' grandma Brown bought them this awesome experience. It really was worth every penny! They were able to pick a hair style, have makeup put on them, and nails painted.
Ruby really surprised us. She sat so still and loved every minute!
The finished product!
After their princess make over we had dinner with the princesses!
Abby and Daniel REALLY wanted to go on this ride. I made them wait until after dinner. I didn't want Abby's hair all messed up when she met the princesses. Turns out a tornado couldn't mess that hair up! She loved this ride!
We were so sad to leave. This was a great family vacation that Daniel and I could see through the eyes of our girls. We can't wait to go back!
