As summer is beginning to end it's hard not to get sad at the thought of the sun not being out everyday. I have to think of all the fun memories we created this summer, and look ahead at all the fun memories we will make in the fall. Plus Ruby is out growing her summer clothes...we need to switch over to her 18 month clothes which are meant for fall :).
Ice cream sandwiches are another item on my list. They are good year round though.....:)
This summer was the first time we planted a garden and an herb garden. I wouldn't say it was very successful, but I think we will do better next year. Here are the girls and Daniel picking some of our veggies! Hurricane Isaac prevented Daniel from going to the Beaver's game. He was bummed, but got to hang out with his ladies.
Here are some grapes from our "vineyard".
Daniel and the girls are taking dried seeds out of a few sunflowers to plant for next year.
Sharing an apple from our tree! We actually got a few this year.
Can you see me?
Our bountiful harvest! The girls eat these like candy. It's hard to keep them from eating the ones that aren't reading.
Ruby loves the slide! Today we went to a park with the perfect slide for her. She climbed up to the top by herself then proceeded to come down head first. There was a couple there with 22 month old twins who were amazed at how daring she was. The mom told me they just recently introduced stairs. I can't hold these two crazy girls back. They always seem to figure it out on their own.
