First was Abby's birthday. On the 17th I ran home and started cleaning and baking like a mad woman. My fantastic husband took care of Abby, and help so much!!! On the 18th I got home and did some touch ups and last minute decorations. We had an Abby Cadabby theme. My mother-in-law bought great decorations including a huge Abby Cadabby balloon. Believe it or not its still floating in our house!

When all of our fabulous guests arrived, Abby started to open presents. She was hilarious when she opened a gift. She let out an ear piercing squeal every time she saw what the gift was. Needless to say....she loves presents.

Abby's 2nd birthday was a ball. I love having my house crammed with people we love and care about. However, there is also a sad part to this story....the realization that she is no longer a baby. December 24th marked the last day we used the crib.
I don't know what we were thinking when we picked Christmas Eve to get rid of the crib! This is a lesson we will never forget. She was not liking that bed when we put her down that night. I decided, being the super mom that I am that I would lay on the floor until she fell asleep. Yeah....that lasted a few nights, then I went Super nanny on her. Anyway, she was up and ready to go at 4:00am Christmas day................Need I say more?
Currently she is doing great in her bed. We just needed to get used to it, and her parents just needed to toughen up really fast!
Part 2 will include our Christmas.
